Lake Nakuru National Park One Day Safari departs in the early morning from your hotel to the Escarpment to the floor of the Great Rift Valley in to Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way you have the chance to stop at a viewpoint and take pictures of the Great Rift Valley below you.

The day is spent game viewing within the park; stopping for a Buffet lunch at one of the lodges in the Park. We return to Nairobi in the late afternoon. On clear days, you may get out of the vehicle at the Lake shore to get a closer look at the birds. The nearby cliffs offer sightings of baboons, birds of prey and scurrying hyraxes as well as great views of the park.

Lake Nakuru National Park covers 180 sq km and is home to White and Black Rhinos, Lions, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Buffalos, Reedbucks and the occasional Leopard among other wildlife.

Other attractions include the Makalia Water Falls which is seasonal, Baboon Cliff which is a high vantage picnic site from where you capture the aerial view of the entire Park.

With the recent water levels rise, the Lake is now full and is navigable using a motor boat. This is an optional activity that guests can explore at an extra cost time and weather permitting.

0600 Hours: Pick-up from your residence/Hotel & depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru National Park via The Great Rift Valley Escarpment

0900 Hours: Arrive at the Lake Nakuru National Park and proceed for a two - three hour game drive

1230 Hours: Enjoy Buffet lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge

1330 Hours: Tea coffee or Hot Chocolate and relax by the Verandah

1400 Hours: Depart for an afternoon game drive as we exit the park

1600 Hours: Depart for Nairobi by Road

1900 Hours: Nairobi arrival and transfer to your residence / hotel
